    Nathan was 17 when he enlisted on May 17, 1845, and died four short months later on 21 Sep 1862 at Sedalia, Missouri. The book, "American Patriotism, or Memoirs of Common Men" states he died of Measles; the U.S. Registers of Deaths of Volunteers lists Febris Typhoides as cause of death.
