      In the name of God Amen.

      Abraham Jenkins of the County of Culpeper being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, and willing to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

      (Viz.) In the first place, I recommend my soul to the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me, trusting in the merits of a crucified Redeemer. to raise me from the death of sin to the life of Righteousness, and as touching such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with, do Give and dispose of them in manner and form as following.

      Item 1.

      I lend unto Sarah Jenkins my beloved wife, for and during her natural life, my whole estate, both real and personal.

      Item 2.

      It is my Will and desire, that, after the death of wife Sarah Jenkins that my whole Estate, Real and personal, be sold on one year credit, and the money arriving from such sale to be equally devided among my Children namely Abraham Jenkins, William Jenkins, Leah Jenkins, Jumimah Jenkins, Clara Ramsbottom (deducting from her part the sum of Thirty Dollars), Evin Jenkins, and Mason Jenkins.

      Item 3.

      Lastly, I appoint William Jenkins (my son) Executor to this last Will and Testament (To act, after the decease of my wife) and I do hereby Revoke, and disanul, all former Will, or Wills by me heretofore, or before made, and declare this my last Will and Testament, this 20th day of May 1818.

      The last Will and Testament of Abraham Jenkins was exhibited to the Court by William Jenkins the executor therein named, who in open court refused to take upon himself the burden of the execution thereof.

      On October 28, 1836, the following was recorded in the Rappahannock County, Virginia Deed Book B, pages 533-534: "This indention made this 28th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred thirty six between William Jenkins (a son and heir of Abraham Jenkins, deceased, Laton Sisk (assignee of Evens Jenkins who was a son and heir of said Abraham Jenkins deceased) and Leah Jenkins (a daughter and heir of the said Abraham Jenkins, deceased) of the county of Rappahannock and State of Virginia, and James Ramsbottom & Jemima his wife (the said Jemima being a daughter and heir of the said Abraham Jenkins, deceased) and Abraham Jenkins (a son and heir of the said Abraham Jenkins, Deceased) and Clary Ramsbottom (a daughter and heir of the said Abraham Jenkins, deceased) and State aforesaid of the one part and Willis Bradley of the County of Rappahannock and State of Virginia of the other part, witnesseth that the said William Jenkins, Laton Sisk, Leah Jenkins, Rames Ramsbottom and Jemima his wife and Abraham Jenkins and Clary Ramsbottom for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars each currant money unto them in hand paid by the said Willis Bradley...containing twenty five acres...Signed and sealed and delivered in the presence of Thomas Cubbage, Edmon Jenkins, Lawson Jenkins, Walker Ramsbottom. The following signed with their marks: Laton Sisk, Leah Jenkins, James Ramsbottom, Jemima ramsbottom, Abraham Jenkins, and Clary Ramsbottom. Lawson Jenkins signed his name."
